Fines for refusing to hire SVO veterans will be introduced in Altai. 

The government of the republic approved amendments to the law on quotas for war veterans in Ukraine when hiring. 

Employers with more than 100 workers, but less 1,2 % of them - SVEO officers, will pay up to 10 thousands rubles in fines if they are officials, and up to 25 thousands - if legal.

As reported by the Minister of Labor, Social Development and Employment Alexey Sanarov, Since the quota law came into force, 32 people have been employed under it. Today in Altai only 52,7 % Demobilized participants of the "SVO" are engaged in labor or entrepreneurial activity, the rest are registered at employment centers, undergo rehabilitation, study and receive a pension.

"At least 30% of your people are hanging around doing nothing," — the head of the republic stated Andrey Turchak. "Who's handling this issue? 12 people for the entire republic. I'm reporting to you based on the results of the prosecutor's investigation: we're hearing people screaming. Impossible! Since the start of the war, SVO members, their spouses, children, parents, and anyone else dependent on them have received a wide range of benefits: mortgages, land acquisition, housing and utilities, university admission and education, employment, and even food. The number of benefits has grown, sparking outrage among "ordinary" people, who believe the government is deliberately dividing society into "SVO members" and "ordinary" people.
