Similar announcements with the slogan "March of Faith, Steps of Freedom" have appeared, in particular, in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnodar.
"All of this taken together can be perceived as an irresponsible attempt to transform a political speech into a prayer procession," the Russian Orthodox Church writes.
