Krasnoyarsk veterinarians refused to euthanize stray dogs caught in the wild.

Starting March 1, approximately 1000 captured dogs were supposed to be tested for aggressiveness by a special commission before being euthanized. This has not yet happened.
The catchers release the non-aggressive dogs they catch back onto the streets, and those that cannot be released (due to illness or aggression) are kept in shelters at their own expense and at the expense of charities.
"Both entrepreneurs involved in trapping said their veterinarians refuse to participate in this process so as not to kill the dogs."- says in the source.
The Krasnoyarsk administration advised entrepreneurs to find less scrupulous veterinarians to ensure the commission and the new law are implemented.
Previously, deputies developed a document defining the concept of "unmotivated aggression" in animals. It was proposed that a committee consisting of a veterinary service representative, municipal representatives, a shelter representative, and a dog trainer would determine whether captured dogs exhibited aggression.
The other day, animal rights activists failed to challenge in court a bill that would allow the killing of stray dogs.
Today it became known that the court abolished euthanasia homeless animals in KuzbassAnimal rights activists have proven the illegality of the order to kill dogs.
Over the past two years, more than in 25 Russian regions passed a law on the euthanasia of stray captured dogs that are not reclaimed by new owners within a certain period of time. Some regions have chosen humane path population reduction: municipal shelters are being built there, training centers are being opened.
