Siege survivor Lyudmila Vasilyeva was detained in St. Petersburg.
85-year-old Vasilyeva came to the Solovetsky Stone with a bouquet of flowers and a poster reading, "Don't Cover Up Your Crimes with the People's Victory." After her arrest, she was taken to the 43rd police station, a Bumaga correspondent reported.

Later, it became known that Lyudmila Vasilyeva had been released without a report. The police demanded that she write a statement. In it, she refused to testify, citing Article 51 of the Constitution.
Vasilyeva is a child of the siege Leningrad and a long-time participant in protests in St. Petersburg. She was detained several times at anti-war and opposition rallies, including in 2022, at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In 2024, Vasilyeva even attempted to register as a candidate for governor of St. Petersburg.
