Residents in several Yakutia districts are being evacuated due to severe flooding.

Houses and plots were flooded in several villages in the Lensky and Mirny districts. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, river levels in the Lensky district exceeded critical levels. 

In the village of Peleduy flooded 20 plots, home to 47 people. All of them had already left to visit relatives and friends. Water also reached the village of Vitim. In the village of Arylakh, 20 yards and four residential buildings were flooded. One person was evacuated to a temporary shelter, and another 13 villagers moved in with relatives. In the village of Arylakh, residents they say that they are losing everything: their houses are not insured, and the water level has risen higher than in previous years. 

According to rescuers' forecasts, the water level will rise in the near future will begin to decline. But for now, it's above the critical level. According to local press reports, the meteorological service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are "monitoring" the situation.
