"I lost everything I earned in 10 years." A speed reading school in Karelia may close due to higher taxes.

Igor Matveyev, director of the well-known iQ007 speed reading and intelligence development school in Petrozavodsk, spoke about the critical situation his project found itself in. According to the entrepreneur, over the course of ten years, he had been developing the school and planning its expansion, but the new tax system and rising rents pushed the business to the brink of closure.

"We're in a very difficult situation right now. I've already lost everything I've earned over the past 10 years. My expenses have skyrocketed. At the end of 2025, there were abrupt, unpredictable changes in legislation, which have increased our taxes tenfold."- рассказал He's been on social media for a few days now. 

Matveyev and his team decided to take action, as his project had already helped thousands of children. He asked everyone who cared to share his post on social media and spread the word about the school.

Today, the entrepreneur reported that 120 people saw his post, a fellow entrepreneur provided financial support, and 65 families have already expressed interest in attending the school. 

"The fight continues. But thanks to you, it's a completely different story. Because now it's not just one person's fight. And it's not just one team's fight."- addressed he is to people.   

Since the onset of tax reform in Russia, reports of small and medium-sized businesses closing have become regular. In less than five months, Russian regions have seen shut down 200,000 small and medium-sized enterprises.
