70 fires covering 51,5 hectares were registered in the Sverdlovsk region in one day.

Ten of them, covering an area of ​​4 hectares, have been cleared, according to the Telegram channel "Not for the Protocol." Another 60 remain active.

The most difficult situation at the moment is in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Artemovsky, Berezovsky, Asbest, Degtyarsk, as well as in Revda, Rezh, Sukhoi Log and Tugulym.

"Yesterday, six thousand volunteers came out to fight the fires in our region. Thank you to everyone who showed concern and decided to help the firefighters. You have no idea how important this assistance is. You are all true heroes," a source quoted Sverdlovsk Region Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev as saying. "Today, we continue to fight the fires."
