"During the conversation, he repeatedly stated that civilians are being killed in war": from a denunciation of an 82-year-old pensioner

Pensioner Alexander Nikonov will be tried in Perm for "discrediting the Russian Armed Forces." The criminal case was prompted by a passerby's denunciation of an elderly man selling "anti-Russian literature" in a park on Sovetskaya Armiya Street. Lawyer Artem Fayzulin, who is representing Nikonov in court, опубликовал a photo of the statement to the police and reported that the author of the denunciation was “a certain twenty-year-old citizen by the last name of Sakharov.”

In his statement, Sakharov writes that an elderly man approached him in the park and offered to buy his books. The informant then began a conversation with him.

"The man replied that the books were about fascism. I asked him what kind of fascism he was talking about, to which he replied that the books were about Russian fascism from Stalin's time to the present." When asked why he had made this decision, the man replied that he listened to many opposition figures and believed that the Russian Federation had started World War III and occupied Ukrainian territory. <…> During the conversation, the man also repeatedly stated that civilians were killed in war, and that they would kill me too."

After this, the informant, Sakharov, "realized that the man was negatively disposed toward Russia" and decided to report him to the police. Sakharov hasn't read the books themselves and doesn't know what they're about.
