A cement shortage has arisen in North Ossetia. A significant portion of the building material is being diverted to "big construction sites" in the occupied territories.

Both large developers, concrete plants, and retail buyers complain about difficulties in purchasing cement.

«We need to build schools and kindergartens, but there's not enough cement, it's hard to get. Everything is going in that direction. Everyone is suffering."- says NotMoscow the head of a construction company from Mozdok. — They order cement in big bags (capacity - 1 ton), They pay, but they can't pick it up because of the long lines at the plants. Concrete plants are also suffering greatly, simply standing idle. And if only it were a matter of money».

Cement is imported to the republic from Karachay-Cherkessia and Chechnya. According to the sourceNotMoscowThe factories in the republics are old and cannot increase production volumes or fulfill orders from above.

«It's summer now, kindergartens, schools, and other social facilities are being built, and accordingly, there's a high demand for cement. But beyond the seasonal factor, the cement shortage is also caused by the need to ship large quantities to new regions. Just think about how much construction there is in the new territories. Consequently, shortages are starting to appear in the regions as well.", says the developer.

He also notes a shortage of carpenters, painters, plasterers, tilers, and other finishing workers at construction sites across the republic. Many of them have left for "big construction" jobs in search of better wages. The developer is confident that due to the shortage, the republic's schools and kindergartens will not be ready in time for September 1st.

In specialized stores Vladikavkaz Cement also became a scarce commodity.

So, in a large hardware store Som There are 8 bags of cement left in stock at 535 rubles each. The store was unable to provide a timeline for the next delivery, but noted that the shortage had increased the price by 100 rubles.
