"First they'll impose tolerance, then they'll give these naked people more rights." Residents of Nizhny Novgorod have spoken out against nudists who "disturb children and adults" on the Rowing Canal.

The nudist beach on the Grebnoy Canal has existed since Soviet times. In 2020, following the "By the Way" segment, it was "dispersed" by mounted police. This year, nudists have returned to the Grebnoy Canal beaches. Nizhny Novgorod residents are once again became worried.
Rowing school coach Alexey Gushchin complained to journalists: "I'm so confused when my kids drive by and ask what's going on on the shore. I have to explain it in words, both correct and incorrect. I'm absolutely against it. If they like it, let them leave."
The clothed journalists who approached the nudists with cameras and questions were met with a hostile reception. A sunbathing girl advised the children paddling to look ahead, not around. The vacationers stated that they were not violating any rules or anyone's rights: they weren't littering, drinking, or forcing others to undress, and there was no law prohibiting nude sunbathing.
Kstati journalists wrote a request to the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs regarding the work of the mounted patrol, but have not yet received a response.
Nizhny Novgorod residents reacted to the news with mixed reactions in social media discussions. "These exhibitionist comrades need to be removed from the city, of course," "A normal person absolutely has to react to something like this, otherwise we won't even notice how things turn out like in America. First, they'll force tolerance, then they'll give these naked people more rights, and they'll start displacing normal, mentally healthy people.", - some thought.
Others reacted more tolerantly: "Man comes into this world naked; they should have designated a place for nudists long ago and that would be it," "I don't like bribe-takers; why doesn't anyone deal with them?" "Those who don't like it won't pay attention, much less film it. I think it's impudent to film other people's dicks and post them online."
