Gasoline shortages are starting to appear at Russian gas stations.
In several regions of Russia, there is a shortage of fuel at filling stations, write Izvestia. Gasoline problems are being reported in Kalmykia, the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov, Ryazan, Rostov, and Novosibirsk regions, as well as the Khabarovsk Krai.

Regarding the fuel shortage, authorities in the Rostov and Ryazan regions have already contacted the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, while authorities in the Khabarovsk Krai have contacted the Ministry of Energy. The gasoline shortage is further exacerbated by the ongoing agricultural season. Fuel shortages and potential price increases could impact the cost of agricultural produce.
Izvestia cites Dmitry Baranov, an expert at Finam Management, who identified several reasons for the gasoline shortage.
"Firstly, there's currently high demand for fuel, driven by the summer season. Secondly, repairs at some oil refineries may have had an impact, affecting fuel supply on the market. Thirdly, it's possible there are issues with fuel transportation; it's not being delivered from producers quickly enough, preventing us from meeting demand promptly," said Dmitry Baranov.
