"It's even worse than with COVID masks." Residents of the Belgorod region report a shortage of protective film for schools and kindergartens. In some places, windows have simply been boarded up.

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov сообщил, that over 65 square meters of special film have already been delivered to 52 schools and 70 kindergartens in Belgorod. He inspected the progress of window coverings at Lyceum No. 10. He praised the teachers, who "used to spend at least half an hour on a single window, but now they can do it in just a few minutes."
However, judging by the indignant comments under Gladkov's posts, not all schools and kindergartens will be protected from shelling by the start of the school year.
People are especially concerned about the situation in Shebekino: "Why aren't the kindergartens in Shebekino installing armored film? The children attend emergency groups, and they need to be provided with safe conditions first and foremost.", "The garden opens on September 1st, but there's still no film.".
Head of the Shebekinsky urban district Vladimir Zhdanov answers - to the window coverings will begin Immediately after receiving the film. People are asking: "When will the film be released? Can schools be opened without fortification? Would you send your child to a non-fortified school?"
People are outraged that in Belgorod, "which is located further from the border and has the least amount of destruction," protective work was carried out on a priority basis.
Another problem is the lack of specialists to seal the windows. Parents complain that they have to do the protective work themselves: "How is it that money has been allocated for the film, but there are no specialists to apply it? If the film is damaged or applied poorly, what will happen then? People's lives are at stake.", "It's even worse than with masks against Covid.".
In many schools, parents hire specialists at their own expense: "They'll wrap one classroom for 6-10 rubles, and some have waiting lists until December. These 'specialists' are also new to the film; they watched YouTube tutorials on how to apply it.".
At the same time, the authorities state that only voluntary assistance from parents is accepted and extortion is unacceptable.
