The anthem was performed on knees with a huge Russian flag in hand.

The September 1st assembly for students of School No. 45 in Krasnoyarsk took place on Yaryginskaya Embankment. The school was unable to hold the assembly due to its closure for major renovations. Students and staff were forced to move to a new building.

During the assembly, children knelt and held the Russian flag while the national anthem was played. Video of the event опубликовал Krasnoyarsk Krai Legislative Assembly Deputy Ilya Zaitsev described the new format of the lineup as "a cool format for everyone" on his Telegram channel.

"A huge national flag, a live performance of the national anthem, the awarding of the first 'Student of the Year' scholarship, the presentation of the 'Teacher of the Year' award, established by the parents themselves, a live performance by a group of teachers, various locations, and much more," the deputy wrote.

Let us add that school No. 45 closed for renovations this year. It was included in the list of schools to be renovated under the federal "Education Development" program. The renovations are scheduled to be completed in 2025.
