"They don't fight for money!" It's become more difficult for service members to receive presidential payments for concussions—the injury is being diagnosed reluctantly.

"Asthenic condition and acute stress reaction. Anything but a concussion," says in the Telegram channel "Committee of Military Lawyers".

According to Vladimir lawyers, service members caught in artillery or mortar shelling during the war with Ukraine are increasingly less likely to be diagnosed with concussion or contusion.

"My desk is littered with medical records from my clients. They all have the same problem. They were caught in mortar or artillery fire, all of them disoriented, stunned, and some lost consciousness. They were evacuated for first aid and then treated in military medical facilities. Not one of them was diagnosed with concussion or contusion." — a representative of the "Committee of Military Lawyers" commented on the video.

The fact is that in the case of concussion, a presidential payment of 3 million rubles is due. Those who developed an "asthenic condition" during military operations are not eligible for this payment. Lawyers recommend that victims initially formulate "correct" complaints with a detailed description of their symptoms and ensure they are recorded.

In the discussions subscribers we reasoned regarding payments. "They're patriots, they're not fighting for money!" "It should be an honor to get a concussion in the name of your grandfather! What kind of payout?" — they were surprised.
