Born in Moscow Victor Pelevin — one of the most popular writers of our time, about whose life practically nothing is known.
Окончательную правду русскому человеку всегда сообщают матом
He published his first story in 1989. Even then, it was clear that he was a writer with his own style, an unusual diction, and a distinct philosophy.
Pelevin's new books are selling huge numbers and winning prestigious awards. Meanwhile, the author himself has been out of the public eye for over 20 years, avoiding meetings with journalists and giving rare interviews only by correspondence. There are suspicions that a whole group of authors, or even a computer, may be working under this pseudonym.
People are used to seeing the devil everywhere except in the mirror and TV.
There was nothing to wear, there was nowhere to wear it
According to his official biography, his father taught in the military department at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and his mother worked in a grocery store. They initially lived in a communal apartment in central Moscow, then moved to a three-room apartment in Severnoye Chertanovo. A sole proprietorship registered in the same area is under Pelevin's name, engaged in "business activities in the field of artistic creativity."
He attended a school with an English focus. He graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, specializing in industrial and transport automation. He was expelled from the Literary Institute for "being out of touch with the institute."

Pelevin's books have been published in 35 countries. He was last seen in Thailand in 2021. But this is uncertain.
We've been living for five centuries from confiscation to mobilization, and the compassionate ones from their estates recommend having more children, because someone needs to be enlisted in the cavalry.
Problems also began with good and evil – such ugly faces began to speak in the name of good that people themselves were happy to officially sign up for evil
