Karachay-Cherkessia is the third region in the Caucasus to announce it will accept refugees from Palestine.

In his Telegram channel, the mayor Karachaevsk Marat Urusov announced The arrival of Russian and other citizens evacuated from Palestine to the republic was noted by the publication "Caucasian Knot." 

The exact number of refugees the republic will accept is unknown (at least, the republic's authorities have not yet commented on this). Karachay-Cherkessia authorities previously announced the dispatch of humanitarian aid flights to Palestine.

In total, according to Izvestia’s calculations, Russia arrived about 500 refugees from Palestine. 

The largest number of Palestinians accepted Chechnya — 167 people, Dagestan - 150 people and Kaluga region — 130. Small groups of refugees were also placed in Chelyabinsk Region, Tatarstan и Krasnodar.

Readiness to accept refugees is also stated authorities of the Jewish Autonomous Region.
