"Chlenovik" – Yekaterinburg's new New Year's merch
Yekaterinburg artist Petr Gindin has released New Year's merchandise featuring Yekaterinburg's new symbol: snow globes with miniature "members," similar to those recently erected throughout the city.

"Apparently, this is a reaction to the outrage and actions of the utility workers, who immediately launched a campaign to destroy the city's works. It's as if they misdirected their efforts. The idea came up to immortalize it. I've had a lot of orders, but since I do it all by hand, I can't supply enough to meet the demand. People have written all sorts of things in the comments, but no one has written or said anything to me personally. It's all just going off into the void, like 'I'm an artist, you know...'," Pyotr Gindin told NeMoskva.

A flash mob of snow phalluses began in Yekaterinburg in early November. It was unwittingly started by UrFU students, and the city's residents supported it. Officials and utility workers, however, didn't appreciate the creativity and began destroying the "phalluses."
