At least 30 Krasnoyarsk families were warmed last year thanks to the "Give Firewood" project by TVK journalists.
“I need help, but I’m afraid of being judged” is the most common phrase I heard from people who applied for the project. a TVK journalist says Victoria Potapenko. "All of our heroes live in private homes and, just like 200 years ago, they have wood-burning stoves. They all faced financial difficulties, making it impossible to afford firewood."
For a year now, TVK has been running the "Gift of Firewood" project, where anyone can use an interactive map to select a Siberian family in need of home heating and donate firewood.
In honor of the event's anniversary, journalists learned how the lives of those who were warmed by caring people have changed.

Some were helped by ordinary caring people from different parts of Russia, while others were helped by entire organizations (for example, the Investigative Committee).
