"We're still on the Moon." A Nizhny Novgorod Telegram channel launched a meme contest for Cosmonautics Day.
Telegram channel "Nizhny No. 1" beforelozhil take a look at the mundane life of the city through the eyes of guests from space:
"We're likely not alone in the universe—perhaps the first expedition from extraterrestrial civilizations is already on its way to us right now. Imagine if aliens reached Nizhny Novgorod."
To participate, download the image template, insert a photo of any corner of the city, and write a creative caption. Nizhny Novgorod residents loved the idea.
Under a photo of a house with sealed cracks, two humanoids argue: "They repair houses by sealing the cracks with concrete? They should have used duct tape! Yura even repaired his rocket in space; I saw it myself." The little green men discuss a photo of a broken road: "I'm never going to fall for those hyped-up space tours again! We're still on the Moon." The aliens were seriously outraged by a sculpture of Gromozeka from the cartoon "The Mystery of the Third Planet": "Damn, the travel agency said we'd be the only visitors in Nizhny Novgorod. Those newcomers from the Third Planet again."
