"It's scary. It wasn't just dry grass that was burning, bushes were burning too": Wildfires spread across Buryatia
The cause of the fires is careless handling of fire, the Forestry Agency clarifies. BuryatiaA special fire safety regime was introduced in the republic on April 8.
In the last 24 hours alone, rescuers have discovered eight forest fires in Zakamensk, Kabansky, Kyakhtinsky и Selenginsk districts Buryatia. Two more are in Bauntovsky area, as well as on the territory of the City Forestry and Tunkinsky National Park.
