Sewage flows into the Sea of Azov: the Taganrog administration has ignored a court ruling on the construction of a wastewater treatment plant for 16 years, and the regional Ministry of Natural Resources is unaware of the matter.

"Petrushino Beach today... Cuttlefish ink? Oil? Sewage?"

This comment was made by the VKontakte public page "Novobessergenevka_online" escorted a photo of black (and reportedly smelly) liquid flowing straight into Taganrog Bay.

Commentators write that sewage has been dumped into the sea for many years and suggest "The city manager and the governor should be bathed in healing water."

"For 16 years since 2008, the Taganrog city administration has failed to comply with a court decision regarding the construction of treatment facilities at the storm drain outlets into the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov in the village of Petruschino!" says in a petition posted by local activists on Change.org titled "Stop the massive discharge of wastewater into the Sea of Azov!"

After another dump and another complaint about the beach in Petrushino arrived Deputy Minister of Ecology Rostov region Alla Kushnareva. She told residents she knew nothing about the problem. But, in any case, there's no money to build new wastewater treatment facilities.
