FSB claimsHigh-ranking officials of the regional government and law enforcement agencies embezzled budget funds on an especially large scale. They are accused, among other things, of embezzling subsidies allocated for agricultural development. The damage caused by their activities is estimated at 60 million rubles.
Judging by footage of the searches, the defendants in the criminal case lived in luxurious cottages with swimming pools. Luxury cars were parked on the property, and collections of expensive watches and phones, three million rubles in cash, and a gold pistol were discovered inside.
