The main participant in the events, the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Rostov Region, has not yet commented on them. However, the following has been widely circulated online: report from a departmental public page, where it says that:
♦️ The security service at Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1 has been recognized as the best in the region for several years;
♦️ Security guards do not allow prisoners to escape and do not allow anyone from outside to help them do so;
♦️ Pre-trial detention center No. 1 is under 24-hour surveillance using modern engineering and technical equipment.
