Prosecutor General's Office recognized The Moscow Times is considered an "undesirable organization"

Before this, in November last year, the Ministry of Justice объявил his foreign agent.

The Moscow Times has been published since 1992 and positions itself as an independent media outlet that covers events in and around Russia (until 2022, this was done only in English; since 2022, it will also be available in Russian).

After the war in Ukraine began, the editorial staff left Moscow, but some journalists remained in Russia and continue to publish anonymously.

The Prosecutor General's Office claims that "the publication's work is aimed at discrediting the decisions of the Russian Federation's leadership in both foreign and domestic policy."
