Passed away Arseniy ChanyshevPhilosopher, creator of the "philosophy of non-existence." Poet Arseniy Prokhozhy.

Arseniy Prokhozhy - looks like the devil,

But still a little like God.

He lived ineptly: they shook him like a pear...

The devil took his body. God took his soul.

(Self-epitaph)

Born in 1926 Novocherkassk. At that time, my father was an archbishop of the Renovationist Church (the Renovationists recognized the Bolshevik coup and collaborated with the new government). Five years later, he would repent, convert to the Russian Orthodox Church, and be executed in 1937.

I am the son of a monk, the fruit of sin

I am a broken vow

And I am cursed by God for this:

Whatever I touch is dust.

In 1947, Arseny entered the philosophy department at Moscow State University. He graduated with honors. He lectured on ancient philosophy and studied Christian Protestantism. From the early 60s, he explored the "ultimate question of philosophy"—the relationship between Being and Non-Being.

According to Chanyshev, Non-Being is primary and absolute. Being is secondary and relative.

Time is a consequence of the fragility and instability of existence. Everything that exists exists in time. Consequently, everything that exists has come into being and will perish. However, coming into being and perishing are not equivalent, since everything comes into being temporarily and perishes forever.

In 1965, Chanyshev, as a party group organizer, was given the task of "neutralizing" the first meeting of the literary association SMOG (The Youngest Society of Geniuses, under the slogan "Courage, Thought, Image, Depth"), ensuring that no one attended. Chanyshev failed the task, having listened to the young poets who had united around Vladimir Aleinikov и Leonid Gubanov and spoke out against state control, he himself became an honorary member of SMOG.

If you haven't been to a concentration camp,

If you weren't tortured,

If your best friend

I didn't write an anonymous letter about you -

Then you are not a man of the twentieth century!

In 1991, he published the "Declaration of Anti-Totalitarians," in which he argued that a person is not a cog in the state machine, but a part of a whole that can transcend that whole:

You are a Person, that is, a free and morally responsible being for your freedom.

He lived to be 79 years old.
