A major fire is raging in the Rostov region. Flames are approaching an oil depot.

"Firefighters are extinguishing a large fire at a tire warehouse in Azov. The fire covers 5000 square meters and threatens to spread to neighboring properties, including a fuel and lubricants warehouse. Thirty-four personnel and nine pieces of equipment are involved in the firefighting effort," wrote Governor Vasily Golubev posted this on his Telegram channel.

Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Rostov Region reportedthat first "garbage and tires in an open area caught fire," after which the fire spread to the warehouse.

Local Telegram channels are reporting a fire started with a grass fire, and then a nearby metal collection point, a private asphalt plant, and “some small fuel and lubricants warehouse” caught fire.
