"We can confidently speak of several thousand conscripts being transferred to the Kursk region." The head of the "Go to the Forest" project spoke about the situation with the mass dispatch of conscripts to the war zone.

In a conversation with a NeMoskva correspondent, Grigory Sverdlin clarified that since the Ukrainian army's advance into the Kursk region, more than 150 conscripts or their parents have contacted the anti-war project "Go to the Forest."

"The geography of the requests is about 20 regions," he said. "This includes the Leningrad Region, the Moscow Region, Murmansk, and the Khabarovsk Krai. This is truly a massive situation. And we can already confidently say that several thousand conscripts are being transferred to the Kursk Region."

According to the project, some conscripts are also sent to the Belgorod region.

"There are already a couple of stories where we were able to stop the shipment thanks to an appeal to the military prosecutor's office," Sverdlin emphasized.

He recommends that those facing a similar situation immediately contact human rights activists: the projects "Go to the Forest," "Conscript School," and "Movement of Conscientious Objectors."

"Then there's the legal option: contacting the military prosecutor's office, the Investigative Committee's hotline, or submitting a report to the military medical commission in the hopes of being discharged for psychiatric reasons," Sverdlin lists. "Obviously, this is a very long road with considerable resistance, and the likelihood of success is quite low. But unfortunately, we can't recommend any other legal strategies."

Another option, he said, is to desert and leave Russia. Project "Go through the forest" I'm ready to help with this.
