A State Duma deputy: Those affected by 5G towers could receive millions in compensation. Concerned citizens previously tore down a similar tower in a village in Bashkortostan.

Those affected by radiation from 5G cell towers may receive compensation from the government, said Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property Issues Sergey Gavrilov.

He explained that to receive compensation, radiation victims should contact Rospotrebnadzor and the prosecutor's office. They will conduct an investigation, and if such a negative impact is indeed detected, the victims will be eligible for compensation of one million rubles. They can also request the local administration or the company that installed the tower to demolish it.

Earlier in the village Tashbulatovo Abzelilovsky unknown persons in Bashkortostan collapsed A cell phone tower, providing mobile coverage within a 35-kilometer radius, was removed by unscrewing the mast's mounting bolts. Prior to this, local social media users expressed outrage over the installation of the Tele2 tower, citing "radiation issues."

Three years earlier, in the same village, also amid “popular anger,” a cell phone tower fell—it was likely torn down by a tractor.

In Russia, 5G networks are used only in limited pilot zones, primarily in large cities.
