Enemies within the state: Kazan mayor names those responsible for the personnel shortage

Speaking to the city council deputies today, Ilsur Metshin drew attention to the serious shortage of personnel in the public utilities and manufacturing sectors.

You probably thought that those who took people to the front were to blame for this?

But that's the wrong answer. From the Kazan mayor's perspective, the team is to blame for everything. Anatoly Chubais, which began closing down major enterprises back in the 90s.

“The enemies were within the state, there was no need to look for them somewhere, said Ilsur Metshin. — The Chubaisites came and said: the market will determine everything, we don’t need dormitories, we don’t need recreation centers, we don’t need pioneer camps.”

According to the mayor's logic, attracting workers requires conditions in the form of social facilities, but during Yeltsin's time they were destroyed.

Metshin didn't mention that even under Putin, hospitals and schools continue to be closed en masse. In Kazan itself, last year, by order of the city authorities, was liquidated emergency hospital, and in Nizhnekamsk - closed two schools.

In Russia's regions, the closure of schools, hospitals, and other social facilities often sparks protests. A couple of days ago, for example, residents of a village in Ulyanovsk Meadow only after the people's meeting were able to defend the only school. But the residents of the Karelian village Kolovo do it Did not work out.

The mayor of Kazan, by the way, has been looking for "enemies of the state" for a long time: back in the spring, he told entrepreneurs that it was these enemies who wrote the laws that subjected businesses to grueling inspections and prevented them from operating normally.

"My firm conviction: our enemies wrote these laws for us! And we're all outraged and can't do anything about it, including me." summed up then Ilsur Metshin (he, by the way, heads the Kazan branch of the ruling United Russia party).
