Kolyma authorities will fight divorce and foreign words to protect "spiritual and moral values."

In November, the government Magadan region accepted action plan within the framework of the state program "to preserve and strengthen traditional Russian spiritual and moral values."

The regional Ministry of Information Policy has been appointed responsible for implementation. These values will be reinforced through:

🔸 Publishing military-historical literature and promoting it in libraries and schools;

🔸 “Days of Slavic Culture and Literature”, “Days of Family, Love and Fidelity”;

🔸 lessons in schools with the participation of Russian Orthodox Church priests for the "prevention of divorces";

🔸 meetings of high school students with "veterans of the SVO";

🔸 conducting events "to counteract the excessive use of foreign vocabulary in public spaces, works of literature and art, and the media."

Previously, the government newspaper Magadanskaya Pravda published Reflections of a well-known candidate of philological sciences in the region Elena Gogoleva (on the picture) with a call “not to pollute the Russian language with fashionable borrowings.”

"Language is a full-flowing river, carrying us through Time, nourishing our thoughts and feelings. But not everything in it is gold—garbage also finds its way into this stream. Bullying is harassment, mockery, intimidation. Or abuser. In Russian, it's a rapist. Hate is hatred, and shooting is shooting with the intent to kill. Russian words carry a moral connotation," she declared.
