"They're offended that no one plays 'Smuta'": Volodin promises to protect children from video games
In his opinion, they contain “violence, aggression and propaganda of values alien to Russian society.”
"In January, we plan to make a decision on protecting citizens, especially children, from destructive content. Do you support this?" - wrote Vyacheslav Volodin on my Telegram channel and launched a survey.
Allegedly, 71% of voters responded positively, while 26% responded negatively. The rest chose the "Don't care" option.
"Our children are our greatest treasure," "It would be better to introduce a visa regime with the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus," "It's high time," "Of course! We need an ideology," "Protect migrants from lawlessness," — Volodin's readers comment, either supporting the authorities' decision or speaking aggressively about foreigners.
But among the more than 4,5 comments, some sober thoughts also make their way:
"Can citizens' taxes be used for truly useful legislation?", "They're offended that no one's playing the 'Smuta' game," "He rigged it, closed the vote," "How do I vote against it? Is this the only reason I subscribed to this weird channel, or have they already fabricated the statistics?", "Volodin needs to be banned because he's the one who's inciting aggression, violence, and promoting values alien to Russia," "Then just block everything."
