Sotka's daughter and her brother were born in early 2023. The young tigers don't have names: names are given to those who stay in a territory for a long time and are frequently captured by camera traps—the rest are simply given numbers. Incidentally, Sotka got her name because her number was 100.

Now the young male has already left the reserve, and the female wanders independently, but not far from her mother's territory. She occasionally drops by to visit her mother, cuddle, and gossip about taiga news. 

Perhaps the grown daughter will wander away from her mother's territory in the spring or summer. Or maybe Sotka will give her part of her territory—that also happens sometimes. Because even though the daughter already weighs at least a hundred kilograms, to her mother she's still a little kitten.
