"No necessary materials": Tomsk City Duma disconnected from electronic voting system due to sanctions

Due to the sanctions imposed on Russia, Tomsk City Duma The electronic voting equipment has failed. Members of parliament are forced to vote using cards. The speaker of the municipal parliament commented on the situation. Sergei Sechenov:

"We're also currently using voting cards. Unfortunately, sanctions prevent us from fixing our voting system—we don't have the necessary materials... We don't have the materials to make these circuit boards, and we can't flash them because we're subject to sanctions. Our equipment isn't from a friendly country."

The members of the counting commission are once again manually counting the number of votes cast when making decisions. For example, when voting on which World War II veterans should be awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Tomsk, the deputies took their ballots and went to another room to vote.
