"Where is Seda?" Activists are collecting signatures to demand an investigation into the disappearance of Seda Suleimanova.

Seda's friend Lena Patyaeva announced an appeal to the Presidential Administration demanding a fair investigation into the Seda Suleimanova case. Today, she and another activist, Ivan Levchenko, collected about 70 signatures in St. Petersburg.

Signature collection is also underway in Moscow and other cities. 

"I need your help🙏 While I'm acting alone, the authorities continue to ignore me, so it's crucial that the demand for an investigation into Seda's case be collective and come from as many Russian citizens as possible. Signing this petition to the Presidential Administration is a legal and safe way to help me achieve justice for my friend, as well as an opportunity to exert public pressure on the authorities regarding illegal abductions, "honor killings," and systemic human rights violations in Chechnya."- wrote Patyaeva in the Telegram channel "Where is Seda?"

Seda Suleimanova is a resident Chechnya, runaway from relatives in St. Petersburg, was subsequently abducted by security forces and sent home. Nothing is known about her fate. In March 2024, the Investigative Committee of Chechnya aroused criminal case regarding the disappearance of Seda Suleimanova. 

Lena Patyaeva for a year and a half is trying to find out the fate of her missing friend. On March 8, she held a picket on the Kadyrov Bridge in St. Petersburg. On March 20, she stood at the monument to the murdered journalists in central Grozny with a sign reading "Where is Seda?" before being detained by police.
