"She never once inquired about her son's well-being": In a village near Khabarovsk, a teacher forced classmates to beat another child.

The incident occurred in late April at a school in the village of Garovka-2. A second-grader, Kirill, pushed a classmate. As the boy's mother told NeMoskva, the teacher asked Kirill why he did it. The boy replied that it was an accident. The teacher then brought all the children into the classroom and asked them to take turns approaching Kirill, hitting him, and telling him it was an accident.

The punishment lasted almost forty minutes, with classmates taking turns approaching the boy, pushing him, and hitting him on the back and arms.

"He endured it for about twenty minutes, then started crying and throwing his textbook. The children and the teacher started laughing, driving him hysterical," says Ksenia, Kirill's mother. 

Kirill didn't tell his mother anything on the day of the incident, but the next day he refused to go to school. His mother managed to find out what happened at school. The parents of Kirill's classmates confirmed the boy's story of punishment. Kirill is currently on sick leave, being monitored by a neurologist and a psychologist. 

"Unfortunately, I didn't even get a chance to speak with the teacher. She didn't apologize or even ask how the child was doing. The child is taking the medications prescribed by the doctor, and we're stuck at home," Ksenia explained. 

Ksenia says she contacted the school principal and the education department, but received only formal replies stating that an investigation had been launched. 

"They say they're looking into the matter. Just today, we went to the principal and her husband again, and they made it clear she won't be removed immediately; she received a reprimand and a warning. Supposedly, the principal is now closely monitoring her every move. But we don't have a chance; next year she might not be in our class, but she'll still be working at the school." 

The family isn't considering transferring to another school at the end of the year—they only have a few weeks left to finish school. Several parents have apologized to Ksenia for the incident.  

"His children call him to school, wanting to talk to him, to apologize. He's known some of them since kindergarten. They understand—they've always had fights, made up, and resolved things with their parents. I've read about similar cases before, but when you encounter them yourself, you don't know what to do. This one just stunned me," the boy's mother says.

"I don't know what will happen; I'm alone, and there are many of them. But I won't leave it like this."
