A Krasnoyarsk political scientist was arrested for criticizing municipal reform. 

Political scientist from Krasnoyarsk Alexey Aksyutenko proposed participants of the "Immortal Regiment" march to speak out against municipal reform during the march on May 9. As a result, he got administrative arrest for 7 days.  

The municipal reform adopted in Krasnoyarsk continues to be plagued by controversy. People are dissatisfied with the current situation and are expressing their protest in various ways, but this hasn't stopped regional authorities from continuing to work on it. 

Aksyutenko, on his Telegram channel, suggested that residents of districts in the Krasnoyarsk Krai carry posters with the slogan "For My Home District" along with portraits of their relatives. This angered activists from the "Volunteers of Victory" movement. Police launched an investigation into Aksyutenko. On May 14, a court found him guilty of organizing an unauthorized protest and remanded him in custody.

Meanwhile, today the relevant committee approved During the reform, officials came up with names for the new districts of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Now they will have multi-component names. For example, after merging, the Bolshemurtinsky and Sukhobuzimsky districts will become the Bolshemurtinsko-Sukhobuzimsky District, or BSMO. 
Earlier, Krasnoyarsk residents launched a "reaction war" on Governor Mikhail Kotyukov's Telegram channel under a post about municipal reform. They put There were over 100 dislikes under the post when they noticed that the likes were being manipulated.
