The largest prisoner exchange in the "1000 for 1000" format between Russia and Ukraine has been completed.

Today, the last 303 people were returned to Russia, and the same number were transferred to Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense reported.

This was the third and final stage of the exchange in accordance with the agreements reached on May 16 in Istanbul. The first exchange took place on Friday, May 23, and the second was held on Saturday, May 24.

The released Russian soldiers are currently on the territory Belarus They are receiving the necessary medical and psychological care. They will soon be transported to Russia.
