Residents of the village of Lokh compete to see whose nameplate will hang the longest.
In the village Loch в Saratov area The sign at the entrance to the town is constantly being stolen. Residents have gotten used to it and take it with a grain of salt, and the administration always keeps a supply of duplicate signs for such occasions.
But the supply ran out and new signs never arrived, so residents decided to hold a competition for homemade signs to see whose would last the longest.
The first sign was made of plywood and was stolen three days later.
"It's not a record; they took it down on the day of its installation. But the exclusive sign still takes a respectable second place." — they say on the village’s Instagram account.
The second homemade sign was made of fabric and hung for over a week. When a federal television crew arrived in Lokh to film a report on the competition, it turned out the sign was gone. But a craftswoman from the village of Lokh sewed a new one in 15 minutes! It's still there.
The village of Lokh is very popular because of its name. Tourists visiting the Saratov region are sure to stop by and take photos with the sign. And, well, sometimes they get stolen. But the residents of Lokh don't take offense. Judging by their Instagram account, the villagers live harmoniously, and Lokh stands for ЛJews Оunites Хgood.
