"Some are heroes, others are rewarded": Police officers in the Irkutsk region received certificates for their work against drones.

Governor Igor Kobzev said on his Telegram channel that he met with three senior lieutenants and "learned firsthand how it all happened."

"Humble heroes <…>. It was while they were on duty that a report came in of drones flying out of a truck parked in a fairly crowded area. The officers immediately rushed to the scene. Without regard for their own lives, they began pelting the UAVs, which hadn't yet taken off, with stones from the roof of the van," Kobzev writes about the events of the night of June 1.

However, local residents disagreed with the official's pompous post. In the comments, people reminded the governor that it was ordinary truck drivers who had thrown stones at the drones:

"Is there any video anywhere of them directly involved? People have a lot of questions. They don't look much like the guys in the well-known videos," "The drivers were throwing rocks at the trucks—you can see that in the video.
