Khabarovsk teachers were sent to "voluntarily" stand guard at city beaches.

Teachers in Khabarovsk "voluntarily" patrol city beaches as part of "water squads." They were offered neither training nor the salary offered to other volunteer lifeguards.

"Teachers are very dependent on their employers, and if you pull them, they'll agree to anything. <…> We're thinking of filing a petition with the Khabarovsk Krai Prosecutor's Office to somehow influence the situation," Vyacheslav Pilnikov, head of the local "Teacher" trade union, told NeMoskva.

In Khabarovsk every year are gaining Volunteers are recruited to work at rescue posts to protect residents from accidents. They are trained and certified. Salaries for serving on these teams are up to 33 rubles. However, teachers are not promised any additional pay for their "voluntary" extra workload. This misuse of teachers, which are in short supply in the city, has outraged parents.

"Someone stubbornly considers teachers a free resource that's just sitting idle," "How much longer can teachers be bullied? Piles of paperwork, elections, and then there's the children. And when are they supposed to spend time with the kids?" "Everyone should mind their own business. There are rescuers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations," "And then at ministry meetings, the same people complain about a staff shortage."

The Khabarovsk Department of Education noted that staff from 58 of 174 educational institutions are participating in preventative measures. Patrols will continue until the end of the summer season. Approximately 100 cases of minors swimming without parents have already been identified. пишет Dvhab.
