A voice from the window of NeMoskva: "It's all about rock 'n' roll, after all. A bit of absurdity is a must."

Musician and poet Semyon is here и Stas Kondakov, the leader of a rock band Acoustic Forest in the Rainbow in Vladimir region, made the film "Children of Rock 'n' Roll." This is a story about provincials who did and continue to do their work for meaning, about people who are no longer here, about songs lost but living in memory, about stages where people once screamed into microphones and broke strings.

"This is the story of the band, but not just the band. It's about our larger group: musicians, friends, family, sympathizers, and debaters. It's a documentary with an arthouse edge. After all, it's about rock 'n' roll. So, a touch of the absurd is a must," Stas explained in a conversation with Klyuch-Media.

Filming began in Raduzhny, where the "Acoustic Forest" was created in 1992. Then, it moved to Vladimir, Moscow, and the surrounding regions. Kondakov notes that the film tells the story of the cultural code of a large country: first the USSR, then the entire post-Soviet region.

The film "Children of Rock 'n' Roll" is scheduled for release later this year. In the meantime, we recommend Kondakov's book, "OT A. Children of Rock 'n' Roll," which shares a similar title. And, of course, the atmospheric song "Children of Rock 'n' Roll" by Acoustic Forest.

"The song I wrote as a kid first became a local anthem, then a manifesto sung by the masters of our rock music, then a book, and now a film. And then, maybe, there will be something else. In any case, it was all worth it."
