Lotuses have blossomed in the Far East

Photographer Maxim Logunov captured Lotus blossoms on a lake in the village of Lipovka, 80 km from Belogorsk (and 40 km from the Chinese border).
The author of the photographs clarifies that lotuses live only in clean bodies of water and are very useful for waterfowl: they eat their leaves, as well as the seeds from the buds, where insects hide.
"One theory about what sustains our land is not elephants, nor a turtle, but the beak of a giant bird." one of the photographer's followers commented on the photos.
