Blogger Ilya Varlamov sentenced in absentia to 8 years in prison

Also the court fined Varlamov for 99,5 million rubles.

The conviction was based on videos of the bombings of Odesa and Kryvyi Rih. Furthermore, the blogger was charged with failing to comply with the requirements of "foreign agents" (according to the prosecutor's office, he failed to comply 19 times).

Ilya Varlamov has been outside of Russia for several years.
