The death toll has reached 24: the third day of rubble clearing in the Ryazan region.

The preliminary cause of the explosion is a violation of safety regulations in the workshop of the Elastic plant. According to "Caution, news," one of the employees was working with a welding machine or grinder near the gunpowder. 

A source told the publication that a crater approximately 40 meters across was created at the site of the explosion, and the blast wave collapsed a neighboring building, sparking a fire that spread to other structures. Officially, the only information available is that debris removal is currently underway over an area of ​​3 square meters (roughly the size of half a football field). 

The company's employees remained in hospitals in serious condition.
