Mammoth Tusk and Stalin's Leg: What Was Found Today in Non-Moscow

🔹 Spearfishing enthusiasts who decided to dive in the Molome River in Kirov region, instead of fish found a two-meter mammoth tusk: it lay on the bottom, approximately 100 meters from the shore.

Despite the tusk's value exceeding one million rubles, the fishermen decided to donate it to the Vyatka Paleontological Museum. Due to its long exposure to water, the find could quickly deteriorate in the air, requiring professional preservation and drying.

Incidentally, this isn't the first tusk fishermen from the Kirov region have found: one has already been donated to the Geological Museum of Natural History.

🔹 And in Volgograd during the laying of communications found a concrete leg weighing 200 kg. According to a local historian Roman Skoda, these are the remains of one of the many monuments to Joseph Stalin, which were disposed of en masse after the exposure of the personality cult in the 60s.

Historians have already proposed placing the concrete foot on a pedestal in one of the city parks. They believe the unusual find could become a new tourist attraction. However, they haven't specified what exactly it will serve as a reminder: of Stalin or the fact that every personality cult eventually ends.
