Wanted it like in the 90s? A Samara deputy who defeated a United Russia rival in the election reported threats.
Dmitry Aseev turned out to be the only representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation who managed to win the elections in Samara City Duma: he beat his competitor from United Russia by 521 votes.

"Unknown people are sending him threats via instant messaging, provocations have begun against the family-owned food business in Kinel, there are hints about initiating criminal proceedings, and so on," He explained Matveev.
According to him, pressure on Aseyev may be exerted by representatives of the Samaraneftegaz company, which sponsored the election campaign of their employee and the United Russia candidate. Natalia Sycheva.
"Samaraneftegaz allegedly 'presented' to the curators of United Russia in the Samara region about the 'enormous amounts of money' that were spent on the election campaign," Mikhail Matveyev stated. The question is supposedly being framed as follows: "The curators who defrauded the company" and "guaranteed Sycheva's mandate" must return the money. Or force Aseyev to relinquish his mandate."
Samara publications remindDuring the election, Aseyev filed several police reports against unknown individuals who were tearing down leaflets, puncturing tires and smashing windows in cars carrying campaign materials, and exerting pressure on observers.
Moreover, on the last day of the elections, "short-haired, tattooed thugs" barricaded the entrance to one of the floors of the district administration building: they only allowed United Russia deputies in, and they pushed Dmitry Aseyev, causing him to fall and injure his leg.
Mikhail Matveyev admits that these were employees of the "oil industry security service." He has already filed a complaint with the FSB, reporting incriminating evidence against members of the election commission who allegedly attempted to falsify the election results.
