"People are scared": Two emergency bridges in the Tomsk region attracted the attention of the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee in one day.

"The bus stopped coming into the village because the bridge was in disrepair. We have to walk seven kilometers." — residents of Georgievka sounded the alarm.
This bridge is the village's only connection to the main road. However, locals say complaints about government inaction have gone unanswered.
On the eve, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin ordered the initiation of a criminal case because of the bridge in the village Plotnikovo. The bridge that connects the whole Bakcharsky area с Tomsk, is in critical condition: the pedestrian section is destroyed, rusty reinforcement protrudes from the concrete.

However, bridges are a problem not only in the Tomsk region, but throughout the country. According to NeMoskva's estimates, currently in Russia, almost 4000 bridges are in emergency and pre-emergency condition.
