Wrong turn. Residents asked for a road to the cemetery, but it was routed to the official's house.

People Dalnekonstantinovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region They were surprised: instead of a road to the cemetery, which they had repeatedly requested, a gravel road appeared near the official’s house. 

"This is impudence, this is disgusting! Why did they build this road for her, but they can't build one here [to the cemetery]? <…> People are being deprived of the opportunity to visit their relatives and friends at the cemetery, to fulfill their human and Christian duty."- have spoken out residents of the surrounding villages. 

Reaching the cemetery during the spring and autumn thaw is impossible: the two-kilometer road turns into a muddy mess. A new road, built with crushed stone at public expense, leads to three houses, one of which belongs to a local administration employee. 

The official herself responded to a reporter's question this way: she announced the need for a road to her house before residents did. The head of the Dubravsky territorial department Maria Veretenova She added: the road to the cemetery cost 3,5 million rubles, while the one to the employee's house cost only 850 rubles. The benefit is obvious. 

Residents were invited to participate in the "You Decide" project. If they win the vote, they will receive a road to the cemetery. If not, the road may take another wrong turn. 

In Russia, only 54% of roads meet Regulatory requirements apply to paved roads. The number of unpaved country roads in the country is unknown.
