27-year-old Alexander Makarov lives in Yekaterinburg. is he lost His vision deteriorated in 2018: he was beaten on the street by drunken strangers. His right eye had to be removed, and his left eye can only distinguish light from dark.

For the past four years, Makarov has been working as a courier, delivering orders along a familiar street he knows by heart. He's not always on time, and one service has already blocked him because of this. Nevertheless, he manages to earn up to 5,000 rubles in a three- to four-hour shift: he's saving some of it for his own apartment, which he dreams of moving into from his parents.

In early November, the Sverdlovsk publication E1.ru published the blind courier's story.
