The reason for his placement in solitary confinement is unknown: his lawyer says it's "another formal nitpicking." Gorinov will likely spend several months there as he prepares to celebrate New Year's in solitary confinement.
According to the lawyer, Alexei is in good physical health, but he is distressed by the fact that letters and writing materials are being taken away from him in the detention center, which effectively deprives him of one of his few means of communication with the outside world.
Alexey Gorinov was in solitary confinement from July 21 to September 26, after which he was transferred for two months to a cell-type facility (PKT), where it was "warmer and they also provided a mattress, pillow, and blanket." In mid-October, for an unknown reason, he registered as "prone to arson."
